Review - If You Could See What I See by Cathy Lamb

4 ✩✩✩✩

Another gem!

I fell in love with Cathy Lamb’s work when I read Henry’s Sisters. She has such a refreshing voice that I know I can count on when I need a story that can lift my spirits. If You Could See What I See did not let me down!

In a style that makes Cathy Lamb’s work so memorable, we follow the story of Meggie O'Rourke, a widow whose marriage was a complete disaster. After the death of her husband, she moves back home to Oregon to help revive her grandmother’s lingerie company. As usual, Cathy Lamb’s characters are quirky and unique. In this story you’ll meet Maggie’s -not so functional- family and fall in love with each one.

This book hits close to home as I myself have struggled with mental illness and anxiety my whole life. This is one reason I enjoy Cathy’s books. They are realistic and touch on topics many of us can relate to. I have found that her books have a true message in them. I cried tears of joy and sorrow. I wanted Maggie to succeed and thrive and fall in love again. It is a wonderful book. I loved it!
